Ever wondered about ‘Who is the Holy Spirit ?’ or ‘What does the Holy Spirit do?’

Jesus made a big deal about the giving and receiving of the Holy Spirit. In scripture it tells us that after Christ rose from the dead, he breathed on them and said: ‘receive the Holy Spirit.’ So what is that all about?

Well, come and find out. On SATURDAY, MAY 18^th, at Living Word Lutheran Church (meeting at the Sports Centre conference room at the TLC Ashmore campus), Pastor Dirk will be sharing with us some of the answers to questions just like this. It is after all PENTECOST; the day we commemorate when the Holy Spirit was given as ‘the promise of God the Father’ and the church was created.

Come along for fellowship and discussion in a relaxed atmosphere as we listen to the informative presentations we have from the ALPHA COURSE material. We will begin with a morning cuppa and chat at 8.30amam and conclude our time together at 1pm with lunch to follow.

Anyone one who is interested can come along. There is a group who have done the Alpha course during the last two month, but that does not mean that you cannot come. Let’s make it a date and I will see you there and then.

… advanced notice: June 2nd – service at the Primary School Hall with the students (Ps.Michael Alfson leading the worship. To include Baptisms with families connected to the college).

THE ALPHA COURSE WILL CONCLUDE AT THE END OF MAY – NEW RESOURCES WILL BE AVAILABLE AND PROMOTED FOR USE IN SMALL GROUPS OR BY HOME GROUP LEADERS. AS PART OF THE ALPHA COURSE, A WEEKEND FOCUS ON THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRT WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY, MAY 18TH – AT THE SPORTS STADIUM CONFERENCE ROOM.
