This is the topic of Jesus’ Crucifixion. This is what we celebrate at Easter.
It is important for us all to know the John 3:16 by heart, so read this verse in your bible and make it your own. This chapter of our Journals are looking at the next verse which is John 3:17.
Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Here is the blessing that we all know so well, but it is really good to know where it is in the Bible and to know it by heart as well. Help each other to learn this from memory by actually saying the words to each other and feeling this beautiful blessing when someone says it to you.
Numbers 6:22-27English Standard Version (ESV)
22 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 23 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, Thus you shall bless the people of Israel: you shall say to them,
24 The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord lift up his countenance[a] upon you and give you peace.
27 “So shall they put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them.”
